Luna Reyna comes from a family of English teachers and authors, so the written word has always been something she has found essential to her own growth as a writer and an individual. While in college Luna became the General Manager at her college radio station and wrote for the college newspaper, starting her career in media early on. Luna has interviewed Grammy-nominated artists, Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalists, doctors revolutionizing the world of medicine and many more incredibly remarkable individuals in the last seven years.

Her stories have been some of the most read and shared pieces while she was at Dope Magazine. One reader even wrote her to say, “You’re writing made me love to read again!”

Luna lives in rainy Seattle, Washington, with her wife, daughter, three small ankle-biters (Chunky, Rocky and Bella) and her cat, Yancey — named after the great James Dewitt Yancey, aka J Dilla, for those who aren’t familiar with the Hip Hop legend.

Luna is also a co-owner and Editor-in-Chief at Earthlings Entertainment, where she hopes to constantly challenge the status quo through artistic expression and creative inspiration. Art has always been a reflection of the world that we live in, and her goal is to create an array of socially and culturally meaningful content to unite people, develop positivity and strive for a future that is inclusive and celebrates diversity.
